Don Sleight, CEO of AgReserves, Inc for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will speak on the topic of: Learning From Science, Learning From Faith. In May 2014, Don Sleight became the Chief Executive Officer of AgReserves, Inc. which manages the investment farms and ranches affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He joined AgReserves in 1984 at Deseret Cattle and Citrus near Melbourne, Florida, then served as general manager of Deseret Farms of Ruskin, Florida for 12 years from 1986 to 1998. He was general manager of AgriNorthwest in Kennewick, Washington, from 1998 until 2008 when he became president of AgReserves in Salt Lake City, a position he held until being named CEO. Don earned a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Brigham Young University, a master’s in agronomy from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from BYU’s Marriott School. He has served as a branch president, bishop, high councilor, counselor in a stake presidency, counselor in the Washington Kennewick Mission presidency and currently serves as a gospel doctrine teacher. He and his wife, Alane, live in South Jordan, Utah, and are the parents of six children.
