Leon Anderson was raised in Gooding, Idaho. He graduated from Ricks College and then
earned a bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and a Master’s degree from Boise State University in Exercise and Sports Science. He served a mission in New York City and Houston, Texas, serving in the deaf program.
Before coming to BYU-Idaho in 2002, he worked in the corporate fitness industry in Boise, Idaho. Church
callings have included working in the young men’s organization, Elder’s Quorum, and he is currently serving in the Rexburg YSA 78th ward bishopric. Leon is currently an advisor in the Service and Life Skills areas of the Activities program at BYU-Idaho. He and his wife Marilyn are the parents of four sons.
