Federica von Stade and the Sonos Handbell Ensemble will be the featured guests at BYU-Idaho's ninth annual Christmas concert. The headliners will join the BYU-Idaho Symphony Orchestra, combined choirs, and other performers from the College of Performing and Visual Arts. Described by the New York Times as "one of America's finest artists and singers, " Frederica von Stade continues to be praised as one of the music world's most beloved figures. Know to family, friends, and fans by her nickname "Flicka," the acclaimed mezzo-soprano has enriched the world of classical music for four and a half decades. With a collective experience of over 100 years of handbell ringing, Sonos Handbell Ensemble's brillance mesmerizes audiences with their ability to create one fluid instrument. Sonos has moved handbells into the musical mainstream by seeing the best transcriptions and original material available today.
