The BYU-Idaho Symphony Band will present its pre-tour concert. This year's tour wil take the band to the states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Jarom Rial and Sarah Carroll will each be featured as soloists with the band, performing on marimba and clairinet respectively. The concert will also include Braham's "Academic Festival Overture," Eric Whitacre's "The Seal Lullaby," and a great arrangement of George Gershwin's "American in Paris," "Cuban Overture" and "Rhapsody in Blue." The band will also be premiering the performance of a commissioned piece written for the Symphony Band by Benjamin Taylor entitled "Trailing Clouds of Glory."
