Under the direction of Ted Ashton, the BYU-Idaho Symphony Orchestra, will present its first concert of the semester, The Beauty of the Earth. The concert will include Aaron Copland's An Outdoor Overture, Beethoven's 6th Symphony--The "Pastorale Symphony," and Dmitri Shostakovich's celebratory Festival Overture. Also featured will be one of the 2013 Concerto competition winners, David Clay, performing the first movement of the Cello Concerto in D minor by Edouard Lalo.
