Sister Willis currently serves as the chair of the Geology Department. She earned a bachelor and master degree in geology from BYU and a Ph. D. in geology from the University of Utah. Before coming to teach at
BYU-Idaho, Sister Willis worked from home for 10 years as an instructional designer and consultant on math and science educational software courses. In her free time, Sister Willis enjoys hiking, cross country and downhill skiing, playing the piano, reading
the classics, gardening, and walking her dog. She and her husband, Grant, are the parents of three children, and they have one grandchild.
