Department of Religious Education, BYU-Idaho
Brother Boyd L. Baggett teaches in the Department of Religious Education here at BYU-Idaho. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from BYU and a Juris Doctorate from the J. Rueben Clark School of Law at BYU. After clerking for a year, Brother Baggett began practicing law.
He worked as a Deputy Prosecutor for Cassia County and later opened his own law office for business law, estate planning, family law, and worked as Associate Corporate counsel for a multi-level marketing company in Utah. He taught seminary at Raft River, Minico, and Burley Seminaries before coming to BYU-Idaho in 2008.
Brother Baggett has served in various calling in the church, including missionary in the Rome, Italy Mission, Elder's Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader, High Councilor, Stake Executive Secretary, and twice as Bishop. He currently serves as the Gospel Doctrine teacher in his ward.
Brother Baggett and his wife Debi are the parents of six children and have two grandchildren.
